Leinster Club Championship Draw

With county finals almost upon us, its a good time to look at who Wexford’s county champions will face in this year’s AIB Leinster Club Championship.

The Senior Football Champions will have an away game to Eire Óg (Carlow) on the weekend of the 26/27 October, and should they win that they will have a home fixture against the Kildare champions on the 9/10 of November in a Leinster Quarter Final.

The Wexford Senior Hurling champions have a bye in the first round, and will face either the Westmeath or the Kilkenny champions on the weekend of the 16/17 of November in the Leinster semi-final.

The Intermediate football champions will be away to Mullinavat of Kilkenny on the 26/27 of October, they should advance in that tie, and then have a difficult home game against the Dublin champions on the weekend of 9/10 of November in the Leinster quarter final.

Buffers Alley, Bunclody, or Cloughbawn, the Wexford Intermediate hurling champions, will have a home game against the Kildare Senior winners on the weekend of 2/3 November, and if successful there will meet the either the Carlow, Laois , or Kilkenny, champions, in the Leinster semi-final.

The Wexford Intermediate A Football champions will travel to meet Kilkenny’s Intermediate champions on the 26/27 of October, and if winning that encounter have a home game against the Dublin Junior champions.

Wexford’s Intermediate A Hurling champions will be away to the winners of Carlow Intermediate B and Louth senior champions on the weekend of 2/3 of November.
