Aidan Nolan’s match winning point send the home fans into ecstasy as they fought back from an eight point deficit.

Tipperary got a dream start as they goaled in the first minute of the game through Seamus Callanan.

The visitors were down to 14 men late in the opening half as Noel McGrath received his marching orders when he was presented with his second yellow card.

At the break Wexford trailed by 4 points- 0-06 to 1-07.

Tipperary, with a man down, playing into a strong wind, coped well, in fact they stretched their lead to 1-11 to 0-6 early in the second half.

Wexford clawed their way back into the contest, Seamus Casey’s goal started the comeback, 1-08- to 1-11.

An Ian Byrne free left two between the sides, another point from Oylegate’s, Seamus Casey, and a Kevin Foley point left things all square.

Tipperary took the lead several times after, but only by a point, Wexford levelled every time, and three minutes into injury time Aidan Nolan struck a gorgeous point to leave the score 1-15 to 1-14 in favour of the home side.
