The Foulkesmills rider produced one of only two clear rounds in the jump off, his time of 33.18 aboard Quandurina, was only bettered by Aintree Grand National winning jockey, Paul Carberry & Brandonview First Edition.
Jason Higgins & Go For It took ninth place after having the the first pole down in the jump off.
