The Wexford Junior camogie team were victorious today against Armagh in their National Camogie League Division 3 final on a scoreline of 0-13 to 1-08.
Playing against the wind in the first half Wexford led by 0-07 to 0-05. An Armagh goal just before the second half water break put them into the lead by 1-07 to 0-09 but Wexford outscored Armagh by 0-04 to 0-01 in the final quarter to win by 2 points.
Wexford’s path to the final had been an unbeaten one, having defeated both Down and Armagh in the Group stages, before a wide margin victory over Limerick in the Semi-final last week.
