The body of a woman was recovered from the sea after she fell overboard, from the Stena Horizon, travelling from Cherbourg to Rosslare on Sunday evening.
Weymouth RNLI all-weather lifeboat was launched at 5.18pm on to join in the search for the woman, a rescue boat from the Stena Horizon located her body, but the woman was pronounced dead.
The body was taken to Rosslare and a garda investigation is now underway into the incident.
