Sean Kenny cleared to play for HWH Bunclody

The final of the Courtyard Ferns Intermediate Hurling Championship between HWH Bunclody and Cloughbawn, is the curtain-raiser, in Innovate Wexford Park, on Sunday at 1pm.

Cloughbawn are the bookmaker’s choice, they lost out in last year’s final to Fethard, Oulart-The Ballagh beat them in the 2016 senior final, but relegated the following year. It’s likely Barry Carton will miss Sunday’s decider due to injury.

HWH Bunclody were relegated from senior ranks in 2011. The club will be relieved that Sean Kenny’s red card from their semi-final win over Buffers Alley has been rescinded, he scored 4 points from play in that victory and would have been a huge loss for the team if not allowed to line out in Sunday’s final.
